・親の身になって考えれば自ずと結論は出る. If you put yourself in the place of her parents, the answer would be self-evident.

●彼もとうとう身を固めた(=結婚した)ようだ. It seems he's finally married and settled down.

4 〔集中する気持ち〕 feeling; heart.●仕事に身が入らない. My heart isn't in the work.
●身を入れて取り組む apply oneself sincerely 《to resolving a problem》; do sth with all one's heart.
5 〔食材の肉の部分〕 meat.●この魚料理は身が骨から離れにくい. With this fish dish it's hard to separate the flesh from the bone.
・このハマグリは身が小さい[硬い]. The meat of these clams is small [tough].
●(魚の)身をほぐす remove the (fish) flesh from the bone.
6 〔容器の〕 the body 《of a container》.●この箱は身が深い. This box is deep [has depth].
●そう言っては身もふたもない. You are altogether too outspoken. | That's being much too frank.
身に付く 1 〔体得される〕 be mastered; 〔そなわる〕 attach.●アメリカ式の考え方はなかなか身につかない. The American way of thinking hasn't grown on me.
